Program Manager

The Program Manager (PM) for the Military Affairs, Cybersecurity, Aerospace is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Vice President of Military Affairs, Cybersecurity, Aerospace. Support will include but not limited to- research, preparing and presenting information in various forms, conducting coordination with outside government agencies, and managing calendars and correspondence.
Essential Duties:
- Assist the Vice President and provide general assistance to the other departments within the chamber.
- Coordinate monthly Council and Committee meetings (virtual and in-person) of membership and maintain rosters and distribution lists, as well as assist with notes/minutes and follow up tasks.
- Manage calendars/schedules, coordinate meeting & event arrangements
- Represent the departments as needed at various meetings or events, as assigned.
- Research issues related to military affairs and the aerospace and cybersecurity industries and develop content for various formats, including white papers, briefing documents, correspondence, talking points, etc.
- Help build and maintain website and social media presence for the departments, in coordination with communications team
- Help manage department newsletters to membership
- Serve as liaison to Special Events team on Chamber events
Education Preferred:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred
Previous Experience Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience with military, cybersecurity or aerospace organizations as a government civilian employee, veteran, or military spouse.
- Experience working with diverse group of partners, donors and volunteers
- Working knowledge of local military, business and civic leaders
- General office experience in an administrative capacity, including strong verbal and written communication skills including proofreading, spelling, grammar and Microsoft applications
- Experience using standard office equipment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to research on the Internet
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have flexibility for occasionally attending meetings or events outside of normal business hours.
- Occasional standing and lifting of at least 20 pounds
